As Vibha expands its volunteer network and explores new avenues in fundraising events, Vibha Atlanta successfully repeated their Dancing For a Cause event, Vibha Vibe 2018, proving that breaking the traditional fundraising model can pay off. Mirroring the structure of Dancing with the Stars, with locally sourced competitors, choreographers, and designers, Vibha vibe raised $184,000 dollars supporting the education of almost 80,000 underprivileged children in India for a full year.

Held in the Cobb Galleria on March 17th, 2018, the event was attended by more than 300 Vibha Patrons and saw a variety of dancing styles represented. One Bollywood pair augmented the gentle notes of Priyanka Chopra’s power of dream speech with LED wings and colored ribbons. Another mastered street style as their hip hop threads matched their hip hop moves on a remix version of Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar.

Vibha Vibe also featured a silent auction with prizes from exclusive jewelry sets to celebrity signed souvenirs. Hosted by CNN Journalist, Henna Bakshi, and featuring a guest appearance by Genelia Deshmukh, a celebrated Indian actress, the event flowed smoothly and highlighted all the achievements of the noble volunteers who put their time into the creation and organization of this event. Ending with an Award Ceremony to celebrate the competitors, everyone left the stage with a smile on their face, proud that their performances aided in improving the lives of thousands of children.
