In October 2009, Vibha organized the first ever Pragati Conference in Bangalore for all project partners and it was a tremendous and exciting opportunity to meet everyone from across India to learn about the inspiring and path breaking work being done. We believe that the conference was a first step towards forging strong relationships between Vibha and project partners as well as between our projects partners.
Vibha is once again organizing the Pragati conference in October this year – Pragati 2011 – which will take place from October 01 to October 03, 2011 at the Y.M.C.A. in Pune.
On behalf of Vibha, I am pleased to invite you once again to attend the Pragati 2011. Please do block the above dates in your calendars for this conference. We expect two participants from each of our project partners (one from Management and one senior person from the ImplementationTeam).
The mission of the Pragati Conference remains, to “Connect, Share & Leverage”:
1. CONNECT:
- With peers from other similar and diverse projects from across the country
- With people and advisors from industry and govt.
- With Vibha volunteers, administrators and project owners who are the core of Vibha
2. SHARE:
- ALL best practices that have worked for peers, industry, volunteers and govt. to learn from
- ALL worst practices that did not work for peers, industry, volunteers and govt. to learn from
- ALL the problems and issues in day-to-day functioning related to actual project work, administrative, finance, accounting, IT and more
3. LEVERAGE:
- Best practices from peers from other projects and see how you can implement the same at your project
- Vibha volunteers, administrators and staff for additional co-operation and assistance in accomplishing your goals
- Administrative knowledge and know-how shared (IT, Finance, Accounting, Govt. related issues and more) towards enhancing your projects.

Note to Vibha Volunteers: Pragati 2011 in Pune on Oct 1st, 2nd and 3rd is open to each and every single Vibha volunteer to attend – whether in the US or India. The volunteer is responsible for his/her travel related costs to the venue. Vibha will take care of boarding and lodging in Pune for the 3 days of the conference.
